about ME

My Approach

I offer a welcoming and warm approach to counseling. I believe that counseling offers the opportunity to heal and grow through a multitude of challenging experiences. I come from a wellness, strengths-based perspective and aim to empower each client to utilize their internal resources to develop lasting coping skills.

Therapies that I often incorporate include:

  • Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT)

  • Constructivist-Narrative Therapy

  • Person-Centered Therapy

My Background

Counseling is my second career path after having been an actor throughout my childhood and early adulthood. I hold a master of science degree in mental health counseling from the State University of New York, The College at Brockport.

I have experience working in mental health clinic and college settings, including at a local art college. This constellation of experience informs my approach with clients through creativity, empowerment and the pursuit of personalized goals.

I am currently a LPC Intern supervised by Ramona Roberts, LPC, NCC and a National Certified Counselor.
